An Arizona pup, Jake (7-year-old Coonhound) ran away from his home. He has been missing from home for approximately one year. His owners were certain he was lost forever.
Jake was alive and healthy! On a walk in Pennsylvania, Adam found a dog (Jake!) wandering the neighborhood streets. Adam took Jake in and took care of him. He took Jake to a local veterinarian who was able to scan Jake’s microchip. The veterinarian contact Jake’s owners (to ensure the microchip was correct). They were shocked, but happy their pup Jake was found and safe.
The story doesn’t end there.
Due to several reasons, they could not manage the cross-country trip to get to Jake. In stepped the animal rescue group, A Darrah Bull Bully Rescue. The nonprofit worked with 20 kind volunteers across the nation who worked to get Jake home. Each volunteer drove Jake 100 miles to the next volunteer, who helped continue Jake on his journey home. 20 volunteers made 30 stops crossing 9 states. 3 volunteers kept Jake overnight during the journey…but, finally, Jake was reunited with his overjoyed owners.
