Ariana Grande Shed Tears Making New Album

Posted on by

Ariana Grande will be releasing her fourth studio album entitled “Sweetener” this summer. The first single from the album was “No Tears Left to Cry”. It has reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The 24-year-old singer stated that it was difficult to make the album.

Ariana was dealing with a lot of personal issues while she was making the album. She started working on the album after the Manchester bombing. She said that it was hard to talk about her feelings after the bombing, so she poured them into her music. She also spent time in therapy.

Ariana is set to release her new single soon. It will be a collaboration with Nicki Minaj. Rumor has it that Drake will also be on the song. Pharrell Williams was one of the producers who worked on Ariana’s album. He stated that the Manchester bombing gave the album a sense of direction.

Ariana stated that she felt vulnerable while making the album. However, she stated that she feels like she has graduated by talking about her feelings. She has almost felt like her music was great. However, the songs that she has on her new album are more personal to her and have more meaning than the previous ones that she has released.

Not only is Ariana Grande preparing to release a new album, but things are heating up in her personal life. There have been rumors circulating that Peter Davidson and Ariana are dating. The two confirmed on Instagram that they are dating. Peter Davidson is an actor and comedian. He is known for his roles on “Saturday Night Live” and “Guy Code.”

The Chainsmokers: Closer to the Sound

Posted on by

In a recent interview with “Interview Magazine”, the two members of the Chainsmokers, Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, discuss the release of their new single “Closer.” They say that this song will be different, as it not only features the singer Halsey, but it also features vocals by Taggart. Pall expresses that this is only a culmination of their goal to make their music more intimate and different. He says that artists are always trying to put intimacy in their music, and with EDM it can be hard, as usually there is no face or personality to the artists that make it.

Drew and Alex met in New York. Taggart was from Maine, but was studying at Syracuse. Pall was working in New York. Both had gotten into the DJing scene, due to its growing popularity. They were introduced by mutual friends, and starting connecting on music the next day. From early on, they discussed the need to change the genre; to make it more personal. They felt that EDM was huge, but DJs were all similar. Their first songs, such as “#SELFIE” brought them success, in which Pall reflects on them beginning to tour the world. However, he says they weren’t satisfied, as they still hadn’t blurred lines between genres.

After more success with “ROZES” and “Don’t Let Me Down,” they began experimenting with different ideas, this is when “Closer” was made. Pall says that the two wanted to get closer with their friends and express what their lives were like. The lyrics were to show their lives in college, talking about college girls, superficiality, and the whirlwind of emotions our generation feels while in college. This talk of their lives, the struggles, and of emotions, they hoped would make them be able to connect more with their fans. They also felt that by having Taggart sing on the track, they could be more intimately involved in the making of the song. Time will tell how “Closer” will do, but it seems that by putting their own vocals and lyrics into music, the Chainsmokers may be onto something..

Set to Release First Album in Ten Years, The Breeders Debut New Track

Posted on by

For those who have been hoping that alternative rock is on the verge of making a big comeback, the release of a new single by the Breeders should be very encouraging. The track, called “Nervous Mary,” will be part of “All Nerve,” the band’s first album in a decade.

While the alt-rock group has an inconsistent history in terms of membership and frequency of new releases, it does have a ton of lasting respect based on its pedigree and memorable songs.

Formed in 1989, the Breeders features Kim Deal from the Pixies and Tanya Donelly of Throwing Muses. Over the past nearly thirty years, only Deal has been with the group for the entire time.

Working with legendary producer Steve Albini, the band released the album “Pod” in 1990, which received critical acclaim. While the album was not commercially successful, it has grown more significant over time. Deceased Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain cited it as one of his favorite records.

In 1993, the Breeders released “Last Splash,” which featured a massive hit in “Cannonball.” During this time, Kim Deal added her identical twin sister Kelley to the band. The Breeders toured with Nirvana, played Lollapalooza, and secured a platinum certification.

After Kelley Deal got tangled up in drug-related problems in 1995, the Breeders went on hiatus. They did not reemerge until 2001 when they released “Title TK.” Following another dormant period, the group released “Mountain Battles” in 2008, only to go quiet again.

“All Nerve” is significant because it is their first album since “Last Splash” that features this exact lineup of musicians.

“Nervous Mary” is a particularly interesting track because it is unusually haunting and dark. Hardcore fans as well as those who only really know “Cannonball” will recognize the sound, and time will soon tell if the Breeders are part of an alt-rock comeback.

P!nk Releases Video For New Song

Posted on by

On Monday, pop superstar P!nk released a video for her new song “Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken,” which is from her latest album Beautiful Trauma. This comes less than a day after she gave what is for her a rather subdued performance of the song on Sunday’s Grammy Awards.

The video, which was shot completely in black and white, co-stars the singer’s 6-year-old daughter Willow. It is a far more spartan production than her recent ones, especially the dance-intensive video for the song “What about Us,” which comes from the Beautiful Trauma album as well. It also far less glitzy, and less colorful, than the video that accompanied the title track of the album.

The “Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken” video is more about emotion than style, and there’s a real sense of defiance expressed in the lyrics, in which she conveys to the audience that no rope can hold her down and no amount of tape can shut her up. This defiance, though, is softened somewhat by the scenes with her cradling her young daughter.

Along with the release of the video on Monday, P!nk announced that she was making a contribution to United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), for which she is an embassador. She said that she is proud of her work for the organization, which she says helps women and children across the world. She further asked her fans to also make donations to UNICEF, “if the spirit moves you.”

P!nk, who was born Alecia Beth Moore in 1979, has sold more than 50 million singles worldwide and 40 million albums. She has also won 3 Grammy Awards, 7 MTV Music Awards and Billboard in 2009 named her the Pop Song Artist of the Decade.

Moby’s Amazing New Music Video

Posted on by

Recently, Moby released a music video for the song “Mere Anarchy.” This song is the newest single from Moby’s album “Everything Was Beautiful And Nothing Hurt,” which will be released soon. In this post-apocalyptic video, Moby and a friend are time travellers visiting an Earth that has been emptied by war and ecological disaster. This video features stark, black-and-white visuals from director Rob Bralver. The video visually echoes classic science fiction films like “The Man Who Fell To Earth.” This new song should heighten the buzz surrounding Moby’s new album. The new album is slated for release on March 21.

Reportedly, Moby’s new album hies back to the classic sound of the his earlier work. This electronic artist made his name by combining gospel samples with a trip-hop sound. I feel that Moby has proven he is one of the most dynamic and exciting artists to have appeared on the scene in the past 25 years. Because Moby is perfectly able to combine old and new musical forms, he can appeal to people from different generations. Hopefully, Moby has found some catchy older music to sample for this new album.

It is remarkable that Moby has achieved so many amazing things over the course of his career. This artist has proven deeply influential on musicians working in many different genres. It is important for our society to give plenty of support to those musicians and artists that are producing groundbreaking work. Individuals like this help maintain our nation’s prestige in the world at large. I hope that Moby will continue to receive critical acclaim for his remarkable compositions. It is likely that Moby will continue to be a commercially successful musician for many long years to come. Though Moby has had a lot of ups and downs in his career, I feel his best days still lie ahead.
