CBS announced the cast of the latest incarnation of their reality series Big Brother. The first teaser trailer was shown just before the 60th Annual Grammy Awards. The cast includes Sugar Ray singer Mark McGrath, NBA Champion Metta World Peace, Miss Colombia 2015 Arianda Gutierrez, Tony Award winner Marissa Jaret Winokur, UFC fighter Chuck Liddell, actress Shannon Elizabeth, TV host Ross Matthews, Cosby Show actress Keshia Knight Pullman, TV personality Brandi Glanville and Big Time Rush’s James Maslow. However, the contestant everyone seems to be talking about is Omarosa Manigault-Newman.
Manigault-Newman became a reality TV star when she appeared on NBC’s the Apprentice in 2004. Since her start on the competitive series, Manigault-Newman has made appearances on 40 episodes, including the reboots, Celebrity Apprentice and All-Star Celebrity Apprentice. She has objected to being portrayed as a villain on the show, stating that she was denounced because she was a woman, she maintains that the same actions carried out by a man would have been seen as business smarts and drive. Her time on the Apprentice was marked by outrageous antics and vendettas with other castmates. Shortly after her first stint on the Apprentice, Manigault-Newman appeared on the fifth season of VH1’s the Surreal Life. She and supermodel Janice Dickinson became embroiled in a personal feud that lasted the length of the season and led Dickinson to walk out on the finale. Whether they love her, or love to hate her, fans are looking forward to high drama stirred up among the cast by Manigault-Newman. Her inclusion on the season has already elicited comments on the View and CBS This Morning, cementing that she is the contestant everyone is watching.
