You could call Dr. Mark McKenna a jack of all trades in the entrepreneur world. In 1999 after graduating from college, Dr. Mark McKenna had decided making money would be tough in the medicine world, and so instead built a real estate business in New Orleans. After Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005, Dr. Mark McKenna lost millions of dollars overnight. Throw in some other business ventures along the way like his company, ShapeMed– a chain of offices specializing in botox, laser hair removal, and health and weight loss counseling– and working at the big box gym chain Lifetime Fitness and now we end up here in 2018 witnessing his newest business venture: OVME.

OVME– pronounced “of me”– is Dr. Mark McKenna’s newest business based in Atlanta, Georgia that will specialize in providing patients with the newest “medical aesthetic experience.” OVME promises to perform and provide minimally invasive procedures designed to enhance the aesthetic looks and emotional feel of patients in Atlanta in around the world to, in hopes, help improve patients’ outlooks on life and build their self-confidence.

Dr. McKenna knew in medical school he wanted to engage different parts of his brain, rather than just focus on medicine and science all the time. When asked about his successful real estate business– a business he built by providing physicals on prisoners for $50 an hour to invest– he stated his real estate business was worth at least $4 million at the time Hurricane Katrina washed everything out.

Now, Dr. Mark McKenna’s newest business venture, OVME, is the newest and greatest creation of the medical maverick. OVME will feature four private, luxury treatment rooms, along with a secluded office for individual consultations. OVME is the product of Dr. McKenna’s belief “that the needs of the medical aesthetic consumer have evolved beyond the stale industry landscape,” the doctor stated at OVME’s grand opening.

Previous and current patients of Dr. Mark McKenna have stated when they step into the OVME building they know they will be in good hands.
